Nanhai Normal University was founded in 1928 with a history of 76 years. The school is a comprehensive school integrated by Nanhai Normal School, Nanhai College of South China Normal University, Nanhai Normal School and Nanhai Art High School.

Professional management team
The school implements a four-in-one management system, with a special teacher continuing education department, which is responsible for the continuing education of teachers in Nanhai District and the joint running of schools with foreign countries, and exercises the functions of continuing education schools for foreign teachers. Capital Institute of Physical Education (formerly Beijing Physical Education Normal University) was established in 1956, and its enrollment is open to 22 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Its comprehensive school-running strength and characteristics have a great influence on domestic sports colleges. In 2000, the Capital Institute of Physical Education established the Nanhai Correspondence Station in Nanhai Normal University. At present, there are 23 registered students in Nanhai Correspondence Station, including 200 undergraduate students, 4 junior college students, 52 junior college students in 2002, 52 junior college students in 2003 and 23 junior college students.
South China Normal University, founded in 1933, is a comprehensive provincial-level key university integrating literature, science, engineering, art, history, economics, law, management, physical education and teaching, and one of the national "2 1 1 engineering" key construction universities. In 2002, Nanhai College of South China Normal University was established. In 2004, it is planned to recruit undergraduate correspondence students majoring in English and e-government in South China Normal University.
Shaoguan University is a provincial comprehensive undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. Shaoguan University began to recruit correspondence students in Nanhai in 2002. There are 94 registered correspondence students majoring in Chinese in Nanhai Correspondence Station of Shaoguan University. In 2004, it is planned to continue to recruit junior college students majoring in Chinese language and literature, mathematics and applied mathematics and correspondence students majoring in preschool education at Nanhai Correspondence Station.
Zhanjiang Normal University is the first provincial normal university in China to pass the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching by the Ministry of Education. Adult higher education teachers in the college are strong, teaching equipment is perfect, management is standardized, and teaching quality is guaranteed. In 2004, Nanhai Normal University established the Nanhai Correspondence Station, and plans to recruit correspondence students majoring in education management, music and fine arts.
Guangzhou Institute of Physical Education, founded in June 1958+00, is the only institution of higher learning specializing in physical education in South China. Starting from 1989, Guangzhou Institute of Physical Education set up a correspondence station in Nanhai Normal University. After years of development, there are 293 registered students in Nanhai Correspondence Station, including 25 undergraduate students in 200/KLOC-0, 68 junior college students, 66 undergraduate students in 2002, 57 junior college students, 54 undergraduate students in 2003 and 23 junior college students.
Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts is a provincial art design college with complete departments. Founded in the autumn of 1953, formerly known as Central South Academy of Fine Arts. In 2004, Nanhai Counseling Station was established, and it is planned to recruit correspondence students from junior college to undergraduate majoring in environmental art design.
Guangdong University of Technology Teachers (formerly Guangdong University for Nationalities) is a comprehensive undergraduate college in Guangdong Province, and it is also the only undergraduate normal college with the right to award bachelor's degrees.
