Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, referred to as "Jiangcai", is located in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. Approved by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Jiangxi Province, it is an undergraduate college with economic management as the mainstay and coordinated development of law, engineering, literature, science and art.

The school was formerly known as1Jiangxi Commercial School founded in autumn of 1923, and 1958 established Jiangxi Institute of Finance and Economics. During the Cultural Revolution, it was renamed and closed, 1978 resumed, 1980 became a college under the Ministry of Finance, and 1996 was renamed Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.
In 2000, the school management system was changed from the head of the Ministry of Finance to the head of Jiangxi Province. 20 12 became a university approved by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education and the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government.
