The universities in Zhangjiajie are: Zhangjiajie College of Jishou University and Zhangjiajie Aviation Industry Vocational and Technical College. Zhangjiajie College of Jishou University is an independent college approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and confirmed by the Ministry of Education. It is operated by Jishou University, a comprehensive university in Hunan Province, with a new mechanism and new mode.
The college is located in Zhangjiajie, an internationally famous tourist city, covering an area of 748 mu, adjacent to the world natural heritage Zhangjiajie Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain. The college has more than 7,300 full-time undergraduates, 45 undergraduate majors and more than 400 faculty members.
Zhangjiajie Institute of Aeronautical Technology
Zhangjiajie Institute of Aeronautical Technology, referred to as Zhangjiajie Aviation Academy, is located in Zhangjiajie, a famous landscape city in Hunan Province. It is one of the only two aviation manufacturing vocational colleges in China, and it is also one of the 15 national defense science, technology and industry vocational education and training bases.
Starting from the 0 13 base in the "Third Line Construction" period, 1979 was clearly named as 0 13 base technical school, and 1983 was changed to Dayong Aviation Industry School. Zhangjiajie is a community inhabited by ethnic minorities. At the fifth census, there were 33 ethnic minorities in Zhangjiajie, mainly Tujia, Bai and Miao, with a population of 1 152500, accounting for 77. 19% of the total population. At the end of 2006, Tujia population was 10 15600, Miao population was1kloc-0/21000, and Miao population was 26700. Eight Tujia townships and seven Bai townships have been established.
