Shanghai University is the first university in China to introduce the "three semesters" system, and it is also a pioneer in adopting the internationally accepted academic system. There are three campuses: Baoshan, Yanchang and Jiading.

School headquarters: No.99, Shenlu Road, Baoshan District, Shanghai. Baoshan new campus, about 2000 acres. Jiading Campus: No.20 Chengzhong Road, Jiading District, Shanghai. Yanchang Campus: Yanchang Road 149, Zhabei District, Shanghai. Jiading campus is extended, about four or five hundred acres.

Old Shanghai University was founded in 1922, and its first president was Yu Youren. From 65438 to 0994, Shanghai University for Science and Technology, Shanghai University for Science and Technology, Shanghai University and Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology complemented each other to form the new Shanghai University.

By May, 20 14, Shanghai University has occupied an area of 2 million square meters, with a building area of165438+1000000 square meters, and the library has more than 3.7 million paper documents.

There are 28 first-level colleges and 4 second-level colleges in three campuses, with 37,329 full-time students. The school has 67 undergraduate majors, 42 first-class master's degree authorization points, 20 first-class doctoral degree authorization points, and 17 postdoctoral research stations.
