After the historical period of Henan Fuzhong Mining School, Fuzhong Mining Institute, Fuzhong Mining University, private Jiaozuo Institute of Technology, Northwest Institute of Technology, National Jiaozuo Institute of Technology and Jiaozuo Mining Institute, the name of Jiaozuo Institute of Technology was restored on 1995. In 2004, it was renamed Henan Polytechnic University.
