The Origin and History of Tsinghua University
The origin and history of Tsinghua University are as follows:

Tsinghua School, the predecessor of the school, was founded in 19 1 1. The name of "Tsinghua" originated from the place name of the school site "Tsinghua Campus", which was a preparatory school for studying in the United States founded by the Qing government. The funds for its establishment came from 1908, part of boxer indemnity returned by the United States.

19 12 was renamed Tsinghua school. 1928 changed its name to National Tsinghua University.

1937 after the full-scale outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, it moved south to Changsha and jointly established the National Temporary University of Changsha with the State Peking University and the private Nankai University.

1938 moved to Kunming and changed its name to National Southwest Associated University.

1946 moved back to Tsinghua campus.

People's Republic of China (PRC) was founded 1949, and Tsinghua University entered a new stage of development.

From 65438 to 0952, China's universities were reorganized into multidisciplinary industrial universities.

Starting from 1978, it gradually recovered and developed into a comprehensive research university.

Tsinghua University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It ranks among the national "double-class" Class A, "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project", and is selected as "201Plan", "Everest Plan" and "Strong Foundation Plan".
