Italy: No celebrations, no holidays.
Britain, France and other European countries have designated May Day as Labor Day. Many countries have a day off, while other countries place public holidays on the first Monday in May according to the situation.
However, unlike most countries in the world, although Italy recognizes the "May 1" International Labor Day and the government shows respect to workers, most people do not hold special celebrations or have a national "May 1" holiday.
