Jilin University currently has six campuses. The communication project is located in Nanhu campus, in the center of Changchun, with a general campus environment and adjacent to Nanhu Park. School of Communication Engineering was formerly Changchun Institute of Posts and Telecommunications and later merged into Jilin University. It was once one of the four institutions directly under the Ministry of Communications, and its strength still exists. Software engineering and computer science are located in Qianwei South District of Jilin University, which is the headquarters of Jilin University. These two majors were one of Sohu Baidu majors before the merger of Laojida. Among them, the computer major is the earliest computer department in China, and was once the center of computer science in northern China, which is most famous for its basic computer theory. Software engineering is a newly established major, which is still young among the famous majors in Jida University, but the employment rate is very high, and a large number of enterprises come every year. The campus environment of Qianwei South District is first-class, and the living facilities and greening environment can be said to have reached a luxurious level in domestic universities, which is much stronger than the other five campuses. But at the same time, the professional admission score of Qianwei South District will be very high. Although the minimum admission line of Jida University is very low, the scores of good majors are often required to go to famous universities in South China and Beijing, so it is still prudent to fill in these two majors.
