Income is below the national poverty line
Generally speaking, students whose per capita annual income is lower than the national poverty line can apply for state grants. The specific standards may vary from region to region, but they are basically the same.
Classification of identification standard
According to Article 5 of the Guiding Opinions of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance on Conscientiously Doing a Good Job in the Identification of Students with Financial Difficulties in Colleges and Universities, the education and financial departments in various regions will determine the identification standards for students with financial difficulties with reference to the local minimum living guarantee standards for urban residents. This standard can be divided into 2-3 grades, general difficulty, difficulty and special difficulty.
