He used to be President of Wuyi College, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Executive Deputy Director of Tea Culture Economic Research Institute of Peking University Gong Economic Management Research Center, President of Fujian Tea Culture Research Institute, Director of Tea Technology Economic Research Institute, Deputy Director of Expert Committee of Tea Industry Development Research Center of China Academy of Social Sciences, and Editorial Board of Tea Science, a first-class academic publication. He has served as deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, member of the degree committee of the university, deputy magistrate of Putian County People's Government (on post), and member of the Ninth Communist Youth League of Fujian Province. He is also the executive director of China International Tea Culture Research Association, the director of China Tea Society, the deputy director of tea economy committee of China Tea Society, the executive vice president of Fujian Tea Society, the vice president of Fujian Agricultural Society, the senior consultant of Fujian Tea Association, the consultant of "Olympic China Tea World" in Beijing, the senior consultant of Fujian Council of China Tea People's Association and the senior consultant of Haixi Tea Talk magazine.

Take the lead in developing tea economy research in China, and the research direction of this subject is in a leading position in China and has certain influence in the world. The monograph on tea economic research has been listed as a reference book for doctoral and master students by Zhejiang University and other universities. He has successively presided over major scientific research projects 17 of Fujian Science and Technology Department, Fujian Natural Science Foundation Project, Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Provincial Department of Finance, Provincial Agricultural Office and Provincial Education Department, and won national patents 1 and three patents were authorized. In 2003, he won the Outstanding Achievement Award of Fujian Social Sciences 1, in 2005, the Outstanding Achievement Award of Fujian Higher Education Scientific Research 1, and in 2007, he won the second and third prizes of Fujian Science and Technology Award 1. There are two social science achievements designated by the provincial economic research center as provincial leaders' decision-making research achievements. He has successively won the second prize of Fujian Social Sciences and the Excellence Award, which are 1, the outstanding achievement award of Fujian Education Department, the outstanding research achievements of provincial key projects 1, and the outstanding papers of provincial agricultural economy 1. As the head of the expert group for the protection of oolong tea geographical indication products in Fujian Province, 35 counties (cities, districts) in the province have been protected by the national geographical indication of oolong tea.

He has published 8 monographs and more than 70 academic papers. He has given keynote speeches at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the Shenzhen Civic Culture Lecture Hall, the 2007 Fortune Annual Meeting and SME Growth Forum, and university exchanges in Peking University, Fujian and Taiwan, and has conducted extensive academic exchanges in France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Australia, New Zealand and other countries.
