During this period, the academic research of criminal procedure law was very active, and many new achievements emerged; Teaching practice has also made great progress and accumulated new experience; Many countries have carried out major reforms in their criminal procedure systems, and China also plans to revise its criminal procedure law again. Therefore, we decided to revise this textbook for the second time, trying to reflect the new situation of system reform, the new achievements of academic development and the new experience of teaching practice, so that this textbook can keep pace with the times and become more mature.
The editor-in-chief Professor Xu Jingcun is still in charge of this revision, and the editor-in-chief decided to invite two young teachers, Li Changlin and Pan Jingui, to join the revision team. So the drafters of the third edition added the names of two comrades. The revised edition was revised and finalized by Professor Xu Jingcun. The characteristic of this textbook is that it is a blueprint for a new textbook structure model and teaching method reform design. In order to make the new teaching mode embodied in the textbook more perfect, after the publication of the textbook, the author adopted the method of gradually expanding the scope of experiments among law majors in Southwest University of Political Science and Law, and carried out experiments using the new textbook and adopting new teaching methods from 20 10/September 0 1997 to1October 0/999. Experiments show that the new teaching method not only changes the traditional teaching mode of cramming in the past, but also effectively mobilizes students' learning enthusiasm, making them change from passive listening to lectures to active self-study and preparation for classroom discussion, from the object of classroom teaching to the subject of classroom teaching, and from asking me to learn to learn. By discussing and analyzing the teaching form of cases, the teaching content is activated, which is no longer an abstract theory plus rigid rules, so that students have a strong interest in this subject from theoretical grasp to practical application.
On the basis of the above experiments, in order to summarize and popularize this textbook and this new teaching method, the Ministry of Justice held a seminar in Southwest University of Political Science and Law on June 65438+May 65438+May 065438+1October 23, attended by more than 20 colleges (departments) of political science and law and more than 40 teachers who taught this course. Through observation and discussion, many good opinions and suggestions were put forward, which laid the foundation for the revision of teaching materials.
