Orient Science and Technology College of Hunan Agricultural University is located in Changsha, Hunan Province. It was approved by Hunan Provincial People's Government and Hunan Provincial Department of Education in 2002, and was jointly founded by Hunan Agricultural University and Hunan Fengze Jiayuan Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., which was the first batch of full-time undergraduate independent colleges confirmed by the Ministry of Education.
The college covers an area of 528 mu, with 5,925 students, 52 full-time administrators/kloc-0 and 540 full-time teachers, including 289 professors and associate professors. There are four departments: economic management, science and engineering, humanities and social sciences and life sciences. Relying on the superior disciplines of its alma mater, Hunan Agricultural University, the College has set up 38 undergraduate majors, 16 teaching departments and 1 public department (with 10 teaching and research section), which is closely related to market demand.
