Tanggu, located in the east of Tianjin, is the central area of Tianjin Binhai New Area. Tianjin Port in the east of Tanggu District is the largest comprehensive trading port in the north of China, with an annual throughput of 250 million tons, and maintains trade with more than 400 ports in more than 80 countries and regions in the world. Tianjin Binhai Vocational College is a public higher vocational college approved by Tianjin Municipal People's Government in 2000. Formerly a regional adult amateur education institution, the College was founded in 1958, which is called Tianjin Amateur Foreign Languages Institute. 1962 changed its name to Tianjin Tanggu Staff Amateur University, 198 1 changed its name to Tianjin Tanggu Staff University, and 1995 merged with Tanggu Workstation of Tianjin Open University. Tanggu Second Vocational Secondary School (National Key Vocational Secondary School) merged 1999. In the same year, it was identified by the Municipal Education Commission as the first batch of higher vocational pilot schools in Tianjin. In 2000, it was transformed into a full-time general college, and now it has formed many types, forms and levels of higher vocational education institutions, including adult higher education, training and continuing education, and distance open education.
