Second, of course you can use this method at home. There are four computers in our home, one is watching high-definition movies under TV, two are in the study room and one is in my room. These four computers enjoy surfing the Internet through the local area network composed of wireless routers. However, you'd better use optical fiber or 2M broadband at home, otherwise, the network speed is very slow!
