Professor Dong Qi, former vice-president of Tongji University and director of Sino-German Humanities Exchange Center, and Senior Hu Jinhua, president of Tongji University and chairman of Tongda Holding Group, made a special trip to Qingdao to participate in networking activities on behalf of their alma mater, and delivered congratulatory messages to the conference on behalf of their alma mater and Tongji Alumni Association.
Representatives from Tongji Fujian Alumni Association, Yantai Alumni Association, Linyi Alumni Association and Qingdao Alumni Association of 23 universities in China were invited to attend the networking activities.
Professor Dong Qi introduced the recent development of his alma mater to Qingdao alumni and the remarkable achievements made in the construction of a double-class university in Qingdao in the new era. He warmly encouraged Qingdao alumni to carry forward the fine tradition and rigorous and pragmatic style of study of their alma mater, cherish their dreams in a down-to-earth manner, and strive to make irreplaceable contributions to the development of Qingdao and add luster to their alma mater and the country.
Senior Hu Jinhua, President of Tongji University and Chairman of Tongda Holding Group, delivered a congratulatory message and used two couplets to encourage alumni to have a double harvest in their work and life in the new year.
President Yu Qingbo of Tongji University Qingdao Alumni Association made an annual work report of the Alumni Association on behalf of the Council. President Yu introduced the promotion of Qingdao alumni's innovation and entrepreneurship, leading the organization of alumni networking activities in Qingdao universities, caring for visiting old alumni, organizing alumni visits and inspection activities, and carrying out exchanges and cooperation with local alumni associations. Over the past year, Qingdao Alumni Association has actively carried out its work, further strengthened the close ties between Qingdao alumni and their alma mater, expanded the exchanges and cooperation between Qingdao alumni, and made positive contributions to alumni, alma mater and society.
Professor Li Tianming, President of the Alumni Association of Ocean University of China, delivered a speech for the Spring Festival Friendship Association on behalf of the Qingdao Alumni Association of 23 universities.
Professor Dong Qi and senior Hu Jinhua presented certificates to the vice president of 19 Alumni Association. Issued letters of appointment to three consultants of Qingdao Alumni Association.
President Yu Qingbo and Secretary-General Ji Xiangguang awarded the licenses to Tongji University Qingdao Alumni Association Holding Base and Dehua Beer Activity Base.
At the meeting, some Qingdao alumni and brother alumni associations sponsored rich prizes for the Friendship Association, and the lucky draw activities were colorful. Dehua Eco-Beer, a crowdfunding enterprise of Qingdao alumni, provided high-quality Dehua beer and accompanying gifts for the activities of the Friendship Association.
