Cold thinking on the fever of college students' driving license examination
Since the beginning of summer, there has been a craze for college students' driving test in Chaohu City, Anhui Province. According to the person in charge of the city motor vehicle driver training center, 80% of the students in each period are freshmen, sophomores and prospective college students who are about to enter school. I can't help but feel worried when I watch the students scrambling to get their driver's licenses.

Qualified drivers should have excellent driving style, skilled driving skills and mature psychology. The acquisition of these qualities can only be achieved through long-term careful training and hard training. However, once many college students get their driver's notebook, they think that the purpose has been achieved, and immediately they will have the mentality of putting their swords and guns in storage and letting the horse go to Nanshan. Few people take driving practice seriously and learn traffic regulations. And most of them haven't driven for a long time. In this way, with the passage of time, their awareness of traffic regulations, safe driving awareness and driving skills can not be continuously strengthened and improved. On the contrary, their skills will "retreat" over time. Therefore, university drivers are at best a group of certified drivers with no driving experience. Once on the road, it will bring great harm to the whole road traffic safety management, employers and their own safety.

The following measures should be taken to deal with the driver's license fever of college students.

1. Education guides college students to treat driving correctly. Driving is the inevitable trend of the development and progress of social civilization. However, as a special group, college students' main task in school is to study. Learning to drive in advance does more harm than good. In my humble opinion, except for a few college students who drive cars, the best time for other students to take the driver's license test should be after graduation and before employment. Because at this time, they can learn driving skills without worry; For college students with poor psychological quality, the staff of the vehicle management office should take the initiative to state their interests and persuade them not to take the driver's license test.

The second is to strictly control the training and examination of drivers. As the saying goes, strictness is love and leniency is harm. Driving schools and driving test institutions should constantly enhance their sense of responsibility to society and drivers, and never relax or lower the requirements and standards for college students' training and examination.

Third, strengthen the management of library drivers. It is suggested that the Ministry of Public Security issue regulations to register drivers who do not drive for a long time, that is, they are required to provide traffic safety education and practical driving training certificates to the vehicle management office every year to ensure that their driving quality can always be maintained at a high level.
