Fujian Police College is a full-time undergraduate college that mainly trains people's police and public security professionals in public security organs. It is the only public security college in Fujian Province, and it implements the management system under the dual leadership of the Provincial Public Security Department and the Provincial Education Department. The predecessor of the College is Fujian Public Security Cadre School, which was founded in August 1949. On May 15, 2007, the Ministry of Education approved the official establishment of Fujian Police College.

As of June 20 15, the college is located in Nantai Island, Cangshan District, Fuzhou City, covering an area of 5 10 mu, with a total construction area of about153,000 square meters. The college has modern teaching and training venues such as police sports hall, shooting hall, tactical training ground, sports ground, swimming pool and traffic management training base, and has 5 basic laboratories and 8 training venues. There are 29 professional practice bases, covering Fujian Province 10 cities. The college has an independent library building with a building area of 9,200 square meters and a collection of more than 620,000 paper books.

The college has 336 faculty members, including 245 full-time teachers. There are 1 1 teaching institutions; There are 6 public security and judicial undergraduate majors and 3 general undergraduate majors. Public security science and public security technology are provincial key disciplines, while administration science and operational command science are key disciplines in newly-built undergraduate colleges in Fujian Province. The college has more than 3,900 full-time students, more than 660 adult education students, and trains about 3,000 on-the-job police officers every year.
