Nanjing Agricultural University, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. Ranked among the world's first-class discipline construction universities, 2 1 1 Engineering and 985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform, selected into the innovation ability improvement plan of colleges and universities, the discipline innovation and intelligence introduction plan of colleges and universities, the education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents, the national postgraduate plan for building high-level universities, the scholarship receiving institution of China government for international students in China, the foreign aid base of the Ministry of Education, and the national college students' cultural quality education base.

The school's predecessor can be traced back to Sanjiang Normal School 1902 Department of Agricultural Natural History and Jinling University 19 14 Department of Agricultural Science. 1952, when the departments of colleges and universities in China were adjusted, Jinling College, the former National Central University, merged with the agricultural related departments of Zhejiang University to form Nanjing Agricultural College. 1984 was renamed Nanjing Agricultural University, and the whole system was placed under the management of the Ministry of Education in 2000.
