Xi Jiaotong University (General Campus) is located at No.28 Xianning West Road, Xi, Shaanxi Province.

Xi 'an Jiaotong University, referred to as "Xi Jiaotong University", is located in the ancient capital Xi. It is a comprehensive research-oriented national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and the Central Government of People's Republic of China (PRC). Jointly established by the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the Ministry of Education, it was selected as the first batch of key construction universities in the Seventh Five-Year Plan, the Eighth Five-Year Plan and 2 168.

The first batch of nine key universities in the "985 Project", a world-class university, a member of China Nine Schools Alliance (C9), China University Presidents Association and China-Russia Jiaotong University Alliance, and one of the first 1 1 prestigious schools in the "Everest Plan". Selected into the first batch of outstanding engineer education and training plan, the demonstration base of studying in China by the Ministry of Education,11plan, and the national public graduate program for building high-level universities. It is a 20 1 1 plan, a leading university of high-end manufacturing equipment collaborative innovation center, and a university initiated by the New Silk Road University Alliance.

Xi Jiaotong University is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning in China. 1896 was founded in Shanghai Nanyang Public College, and 192 1 was renamed as Jiaotong University. 1956, the State Council decided to move Jiaotong University to Xi 'an, which is the Xi 'an part of Jiaotong University. 1959 was named Xi Jiaotong University.
