Is it worthwhile for a university professor to start a company?
At present, many university teachers are participating in peripheral social undertakings, such as lectures, scientific research and practice, while doing their own education and teaching well. And quite a few of them have co-founded companies or joined technology (guidance) shares in some companies.

Doing a good job and managing the company in your spare time includes both education and practical research. This is a level, and many people should agree with this way.

It is another level not to do one's job well, not to do it, and to devote all one's energy to running the company. I personally object to this form, which is disrespectful to your university or students. Either resign from the original university or go back to teach well. You can choose one.

As for those who have worked as university teachers and started companies, they may need to choose or balance many issues, such as the distribution of school work and company work, the balance and interweaving of official and private affairs, and the problems between students and employees.
