Tsinghua University School of Journalism and Communication was formally established on April 2, 20021. It is the predecessor of Tsinghua University School of Journalism and Communication, and also the editorial direction established by 1985 Chinese Department and the Communication Department established by 1998+00. Tsinghua University is an institution directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), which is directly managed by the central government and compiled by the deputy ministerial level. It ranks among the "2 1 1 Project", "985 Project" and "World-class University and First-class Discipline", and is a member of the Nine Alliances, Song Lian Alliance, China University Presidents Association, Asian University Alliance, Pacific Rim University Alliance and Tsinghua-Cambridge-MIT Low-carbon University Alliance. Among the teachers, there are Nobel Prize winners 1 person, Turing Prize winners 1 person, academicians of China Academy of Sciences 5 1 person, and 39 academicians of China Academy of Engineering.
