Jinqiao College of Kunming University of Science and Technology was founded in 200 1. It is a full-time undergraduate independent college sponsored by Kunming University of Science and Technology, invested by Yunnan Urban Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd., a large state-owned enterprise in Yunnan Province, audited by Yunnan Provincial Department of Education and approved by the Ministry of Education.
20 15 school was approved as a pilot institution for transformation and development in Yunnan province, 20 16 private undergraduate institution with advantages and characteristics in Yunnan province, and 20 17 demonstration institution for training applied talents in Yunnan province. Through the promotion of the project, the school has further made it clear that it will focus on cultivating applied talents in engineering and actively serve the regional economic development and industrial transformation and upgrading in Yunnan Province.
