7. Prepare to go to Korea (detailed in preparation before departure)
Three. Visa:
1. South Korea currently implements an "anti-visa" policy in studying abroad. In general, "anti-visa" means that the inviter completes the visa approval certificate for the visitor in the exit-entry administration department of the destination country, and then submits it to the embassy of the destination country together with the applicant's passport, application form, photos and other materials. The embassy in China only issues visas on the applicant's passport based on the examination and approval materials, and does not need to apply to the domestic immigration department. Although the specifications and forms of anti-visa vary from country to country, generally, as long as the anti-visa is obtained, it means that the entry is approved and it does not take long for the passport to be sent to the embassy of the destination country. Some people can enter the country with an anti-visa. At present, most countries that implement anti-visa are in Asia, mainly Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
As far as studying in Korea is concerned, students can apply for a counter-visa through their economic guarantor in Korea after obtaining the admission notice from the school they apply for. The application materials will be submitted to the Korean Ministry of Justice for review, and the visa issued by the Ministry of Justice will be approved. This kind of visa issuance license is usually called "anti-visa".
With this visa issuance permit, plus some common materials prepared according to the requirements of the Korean Embassy in China, students can successfully get visas in about 4 working days. The main duties of the visa office of the embassy in this process are to issue application forms, check identity, check application materials and issue visas. If there is no special reason, the embassy will not refuse to go through the final visa formalities for students with visas.
This visa procedure has its absolute advantages. Because the main decision-making power of visa approval is not in the visa office, there is no need to worry about interview and language problems, which is quite beneficial for students who have no visa experience. But at the same time, this program also has the characteristics of long cycle. After the students get the notice from the school, it still takes half a month to one month for the Korean Ministry of Justice to review the anti-visa application materials. Therefore, if the visa application is late, it is likely to affect your start date. Therefore, students who are going to study in Korea should take this into account and try to prepare the application materials as soon as possible without delay.
2. Visa type: 1D-4 short-term student visa. If you want to study in Korean language education institutions for more than one semester, you must apply for a D-4 visa that can be extended in Korea. If a student with a D-4 visa is absent for more than two weeks during class, his visa will be automatically cancelled.
2)D-2 student visa. If you want to do academic study or research in a college or university in Korea, you will apply for a D-2 student visa, including undergraduates, masters or doctoral students. The D-2 visa can be extended in Korea.
