Meijo University is a private university located in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It is a leading comprehensive university of arts and sciences in central Japan. The school's predecessor was Nagoya Advanced Science and Technology School founded by Japanese physicist Shouyi Tanaka on 1926, and 1949 was changed to a new university. The school has 8 departments and 22 disciplines. All research departments offer master's and doctoral programs.
