1973 died in Shanghai on May 2nd. His father, Yang, a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, taught in a private school in his early years. Later, I went to Tianjin and worked as a pen in Duan shogunate. 1907, Duan lost power and went home for leisure. The next year, I wanted to find a job in Shenyang, but unfortunately I caught the plague in the hotel and died. Yang Wuzhi's mother, surnamed Wang, died young when he was 9 years old (1905). Therefore, Mr. and Mrs. Yang don't take much care of them, and most of their lives are arranged by their uncle Yang Bangrui.

19 14, Yang Wuzhi graduated from Anhui No.2 Middle School. This is a very good school, which has laid a good cultural foundation for Yang Wuzhi. That autumn, I was admitted to the preparatory course of Beijing Normal University for one year, and then entered the undergraduate course of Mathematics and Science Department. It is required to study for 3 years and graduate from 19 18. This degree was the highest level of normal education at that time, and all localities rushed to hire it. Finally, Yang Wuzhi decided to return to his alma mater, Anhui No.2 Middle School, as a teacher and supervisor (subject director). Yang Wuzhi, a young man, practices strict discipline in her school and strictly controls a group of dude. The school stipulates that the school gate will be closed at night 10, and a group of students who have fun outside and come back late will not be allowed in. As a result, some students who didn't want to make progress were very dissatisfied with Yang Wuzhi, the invigilator, and even made trouble, ready to take revenge by force. After the trouble, the parents of the students defended the troubled students in an attempt to fail. Yang Wuzhi resigned in a fit of pique and transferred to Anqing Middle School to teach. This incident deeply stimulated him, and he found it difficult for a scholar to deal with corrupt governments, local tyrants and evil gentry. Therefore, Yang Wuzhi put forward the idea of "saving the country through science", hoping to change the dark reality in China, revitalize science in China and promote Chinese civilization by studying abroad. During my teaching in Anqing, I actively prepared for the examination for studying abroad. In his early years, he got engaged to Luo, the daughter of fellow countryman Luo Zhuquan, and got married in 19 19. Luo culture is not high, and he has been doing housework. There is a deep affection between this couple, and they will never change. 1922, the eldest son Yang Zhenning was born. Yang Wuzhi's preparation for the exam has also reached a tense stage. 1in the spring of 923, Yang Wuzhi successfully passed the Anhui public study abroad examination. Then he left his wife and son, who was less than one year old, and went to America to study alone. He first went to Stanford University in the western United States to study for three academic years and got a bachelor's degree. Then in the autumn of 1924, I transferred to the University of Chicago for further study. At that time, the mathematics department of the University of Chicago had reached the first-class level in the United States, and Yang Wuzhi studied algebra and number theory under the famous L.E. Dixon. 1926 obtained the master's degree with the article Bilinear Invariants. Two years later, Yang Wuzhi became the first person to study China's factor theory and became a doctor of "Various Generalizations of Hualin Problem".

/kloc-in the autumn of 0/928, Yang Wuzhi returned to China after completing her studies. He first taught at Xiamen University for one year, and was hired as a professor of mathematics by Tsinghua University the following year. Since then, Yang Wuzhi has been teaching in Tsinghua University (including Southwest United University during the Anti-Japanese War) until liberation. After 1950, he stayed in Shanghai Fudan University as a professor of mathematics. /kloc-at the end of 0/948, Yang Wuzhi flew back to Nanjing from Peiping and went to Kunming to meet his family in Shanghai to welcome liberation. 1950, Tsinghua University didn't reappoint Yang Wuzhi, so he stayed in Shanghai and became a professor of mathematics at Tongji University. /kloc-started teaching at Fudan university in 0/952. In the 1950s, he also taught several courses at Fudan University, and later rested at home because of diabetes.

1957, Yang Wuzhi's eldest son, Yang Zhenning, won the Nobel Prize in physics, which made Yang Wuzhi very excited. He stayed in Geneva three times, at 1957, 1960 and 1964. He got together with Yang Zhenning in Geneva and met old friends and students overseas, such as Chen Shengshen. These gatherings made Yang Zhenning know more about New China, which directly influenced his decision to go back to the mainland to visit relatives in the summer of 197 1, and Yang Zhenning became one of the first famous overseas scholars to visit People's Republic of China (PRC). Yang Wuzhi was in poor health in his later years and seldom went out. He loves traditional culture, especially Weiqi.

1973 In May, Yang Wuzhi died in Shanghai.
