1989- 1993 is engaged in postdoctoral research at Nanjing Institute of Geology and Paleontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

1995- 1996 went to Johns Hopkins university to study molecular biology.

1996 and 1999 invited scholars to Nagoya University and Niigata University in Japan for cooperation and exchange respectively. 65438-0993, researcher and doctoral supervisor of Nanjing Institute of Geology and Paleontology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. At present, he is the executive director and secretary-general of Chinese Paleontology Society, one of the editors of Ancient World (published by Elsevier), honorary director (former chairman) of Microfossil Branch, and a national member of China Association for Science and Technology; Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Second International Congress of Paleontology (2006).

The research direction is divided into two parts: 1) Molecular Paleontology: Since 1996, we have explored the genealogical chronology of ancient molecules and some animal groups (including some crustaceans and polypods in arthropods, bryophytes and sponges), trying to combine modern molecular biology, organic geochemistry and fossil records to carry out interdisciplinary research and explore the origin and radiation of early animal groups; The research team also conducted a genealogical chronology study on some special ferns and Metasequoia. 2) Taxonomy, biostratigraphy and paleoecology of radiolarians in Mesozoic and Paleozoic: mainly devoted to the comparison of radiolarian strata in the North Pacific margin and East Tethys (Tibet).
