School of Education Science of Southwest Normal University is located in Tian Jiabing Education College,No. Gong Yuan Street 1, Linfen City, Shanxi Province.

School of Education Science of Shanxi Normal University, formerly a specialized course for education management cadres, was founded in 1983. 1990, renamed Education Department. In 2002, the Ministry of Education merged with three educational research institutes to form the School of Education and Psychological Science.

The College of Educational Sciences has four departments, namely, the Department of Education and the Department of Technology, and five undergraduate majors, namely, pedagogy, primary education, psychology, preschool education and educational technology. Pedagogy has been authorized by the first-class master's degree, and it has the full-time academic postgraduate enrollment qualifications for nine majors, including pedagogy principle, children's organization and ideological education, basic psychology, development and educational psychology, and educational technology.
