Li Qingsheng's plagiarism case
A post "How to Copy Articles by Professors" transferred from China Academic Forum was posted in yunnan net "Jinbi Miscellaneous Talk", and the title became "Seeing Li Qingsheng, President of Yunnan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, copying other people's papers like this".

The netizen claimed that it took a lot of effort to find two articles. By comparison, it is found that 2800 words in Li Qingsheng's paper are exactly the same as those of a scholar named Zhou Ji, accounting for 1/4 of Li's paper.

As a "tourist", a netizen published "Facts speak louder than words-please give Professor Li Qingsheng an innocence" and made a comparison: Li's article is about 7,900 words, while his research "Summary of Conclusions" is about 60,000 words; The "Proposal" put forward to the relevant departments is nearly 50,000 words; Published monograph 1 department, with more than 24,600 words; In this article of Li, the expression that agrees with Zhou Ji's viewpoint and is the same as or similar to his article is about 1500 words, and the similar content is nearly 3000 words.

"I am engaged in biological science research. Recently, when reading professional literature, I was surprised to find that an article on the development trend of life science published by Li Qingsheng, dean of a university in Yunnan, in 2003 was strikingly similar to a paper published by a domestic scholar in the late 1970s. " On the afternoon of February 13, netizen You Xiake posted that Li Qingsheng's paper "Analysis on the Development Trend and Characteristics of Modern Life Sciences" was about 10000 words, which was similar to "On the New Features of Modern Life Sciences Development" published by Zhou Ji in 1979 Journal of Xiamen University.

The poster said that the two papers have a lot in common, and even have the same words in some paragraphs. The only difference is that the position in the article is different, and Zhou Ji added some examples during the discussion. Looking at the full text, the same paragraph basically reaches nearly 3000 words, which means 1/3 of the total words in Li's paper. For example, when discussing the development relationship between biology and other disciplines, the two articles have exactly the same sentence: "Mechanics, chemistry and physics have widely penetrated into the achievements of biology, resulting in frontier sciences such as biomechanics, biochemistry and biophysics, which have opened up new fields of life sciences ... effectively promoted the rapid development of biological sciences and opened up an important frontier discipline of biomathematics."

It is said that although Li Qingsheng listed the article "New Features of Modern Life Science Development" published by Zhou Ji in Medicine and Philosophy 1985 in the article reference, in order to prove that this article has the possibility of plagiarism, the poster specifically listed the concept of "plagiarism", which should generally follow two standards: First, whether the copied (copied) works are subject to copyright law. Second, whether the plagiarist uses other people's works is beyond the scope of "appropriate citation". Regarding the limitation of the number of "appropriate citations", Article 15 of the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Trial Regulations on the Protection of Books and Periodicals in China clearly stipulates: "The citations of non-poetic works shall not exceed 2,500 words or one tenth of the cited works"; "If one or more works are cited, the total number of citations shall not exceed one tenth of the total number of works created by me".
