General situation of Tilburg University facilities
Tilburg is located in the south of the Netherlands, bordering Belgium, between Rotterdam and Antwerp, Amsterdam and Brussels. It is a modern medium-sized city and an important transportation hub of the Dutch railway and highway network.

Tilburg University was founded in 1927. Formerly an economics college, it has developed into a comprehensive university with five colleges and nearly 10,000 students funded by the government. The university consists of five departments: economics and business administration, law, social behavior science, philosophy and art, and offers 20 degree courses. The departments of economics and business management, law and social behavior science are the oldest departments in the university. In the 1980s, the departments of philosophy and art were established one after another. The globalization of education is the main goal of Tilburg University, which has cooperation agreements with universities in many overseas countries. The main facilities of the school

1, Tilburg University Library has a collection of 800,000 volumes, covering all fields of teaching and scientific research. This library can accommodate 1000 readers.

There are 450 desktop computers in the school computer center, which is responsible for the data communication network, central computer system and software management of the school. The data communication network of Tilburg University is called KUB network.

School year arrangement

Generally, school starts around September every year, and the school year generally lasts from the end of August to the middle of June of the following year.

Application for admission

Students are required to provide the following application materials: 1. Fill in a complete application form for admission; 2. Chinese and English official documents of high school graduation certificate; 3. High school transcripts in Chinese and English; 4. Chinese and English birth certificates. Note: The school is expected to organize examinations (including interviews) in February 2002.

Accommodation introduction

The school arranges accommodation for international students through the Housing Federation (WMB), and most of the dormitories are close to the school and the city center. As tilburg is a medium-sized city, most places can be reached by bike or bus, and the traffic is very convenient. In the student dormitory, each student has his own room, and the kitchen and bathroom are shared. There are bedding, wardrobe, bookshelf, desk, lamp, cable TV, telephone, and washing machines in some dormitories. There are dining tables, chairs, refrigerators and simple cookers in the kitchen. The rent (including utilities) is about 230-300 euros/month. According to experts, the school can ensure that freshmen and students who submit accommodation applications before the annual deadline have dormitories. Students will receive detailed accommodation information after being admitted to the school.
