Shanghai Art College includes Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Shanghai Theatre Academy, Shanghai Arts and Crafts Vocational College, Shanghai school of visual arts and Shanghai Film Art Vocational College.

1, Shanghai Conservatory of Music: referred to as "Shangyin", organized by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, is a full-time higher professional music (art) college approved by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.

2. Shanghai Theatre Academy: referred to as "Shangxi" for short, it is an art college in China that trains performing arts professionals. Founded in 1945, it was established by Shanghai Municipal People's Government, China Municipal People's Government and Ministry of Culture and Tourism. It is one of the first master's degree awarding units approved by the State Council.

3. Shanghai Vocational College of Arts and Crafts: It is the only independent vocational college for art design in Shanghai, the only vocational college in Shanghai that undertakes the pilot reform of the national education system, and the only vocational college in Shanghai that has been selected into the national "double high" construction plan. In 2003, it was jointly founded by Shanghai Arts and Crafts School (established in 1960) and Shanghai Second Light Workers College (established in 1979).

4. Shanghai Visual Arts School: referred to as "Shangshi", founded in September 2005. It is a new comprehensive art undergraduate college with state-owned investment and other social forces. The school is the only comprehensive visual art college in Shanghai, one of the national 13 independent undergraduate course art colleges, and one of the members of the international alliance of ten art, design and media institutions in Chinese mainland.

5. Shanghai Film Art Vocational College: It is a full-time ordinary higher art college approved by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It is located in Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park, Pudong New Area, Shanghai.

Conditions for applying to an art university

To apply for art colleges, you must be an art candidate and take the unified examination of art majors organized by the Provincial Education Examinations Institute.
