Tongji University, referred to as Tongji University for short, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) [1], a well-known institution of higher learning with a long history and outstanding reputation in China, a key university under the national "21Project" and "985 Project", and China University with the strictest enrollment standards. It is "20 1 1 plan", "Everest Plan", "Excellent Engineer Plan", "Excellent Legal Talents Education and Training Plan", "1/plan" and "/kloc-0+" It is a member of Environment and Sustainable Development Cooperation Alliance, International Union of Design and Art Colleges, 2 1 Century Academic Alliance, Outstanding University Alliance, Sino-Russian Engineering University Alliance, China-Europe Engineering Education Platform and Tongji-Berkeley Engineering Alliance, and it is a deputy ministerial college in China.

Tongji University's predecessor was the German Medical College founded by German doctor paulun erich on 1907. The following year, it was renamed Tongji Devon yiguang; 19 12 merged with the newly established Tongji German Engineering School and changed its name to Tongji German Medical Engineering School; 1923 was officially named University; 1927 National Tongji University, one of the seven earliest national universities in China.
