Shenyang Normal University, located in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, was organized and supervised by the Liaoning Provincial People's Government, and was selected into the "Excellent Legal Talents Education and Training Plan" and "Excellent Teachers Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education. It is the first batch of pilot universities in the Ministry of Education to carry out comprehensive reform of professional degree postgraduate education and the second batch of demonstration universities in China to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education. It is a school covering philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering and so on.

Shenyang Normal University was founded in 195 1. Its predecessor was Northeast Institute of Education, and 1953 was renamed shenyang normal College. 1965 was renamed Liaoning first normal college; 1978 Restore the name of shenyang normal College. In 2002, Shenyang Normal University and Liaoning Institute of Education merged to form Shenyang Normal University.
