The College of Life Sciences has laid a solid foundation for the above-mentioned undergraduate majors through its strong faculty and good conditions for running schools. Biotechnology is led by Professor Zheng Jingui, Professor He Shuilin, researcher and researcher Gan, biological science by Professor Lin, Professor Alice Chan and Professor Wei Daozhi, microbiology by Professor Guan Xiong, Researcher Xie and Researcher Lin Zhanyi, bioinformatics by Vice President Wu Ren, Researcher Wang and Researcher He, and chemical biology by Professor He Haibin.

In undergraduate education, through the system of department leaders attending lectures; Teachers' teaching supervision system; Quality tracking, supervision and control of the cooperation of the class teacher; Tutorial system for undergraduates; Scientific research service teaching system and other systems realize the whole process of education and ensure the quality of teaching.

College pays attention to innovation, strengthens characteristics, and implements 3+ 1 mode in talent training scheme and 6+X mode in curriculum system design. Pay attention to the construction of educational innovation platforms such as college students' basic academic platform, college students' scientific research and training plan platform, college students' academic science and technology competition platform and college students' entrepreneurial practice education platform. Strengthening the cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan not only embodies the regional characteristics, but also provides opportunities for students to learn and exchange, and improves their comprehensive quality.

In order to do a good job in undergraduate practice and cultivate students' personal ability, during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, the college focused on building a number of on-campus practice bases, such as biological science innovation practice bases, biological technology practice bases, biological engineering practice bases, biological information innovation practice bases and chemical biological production practice bases.

At the same time, a relatively stable off-campus practice base of 13 has been built with local governments and companies, which has created good hardware conditions for students' practice and training.
