Seoul is located in the Hanjiang river basin in the northwest of South Korea, in the middle of the Korean peninsula. It was originally the residence of Dongyi, a small country in Zhou Dynasty, Fan Zhen. 1394, Li Chenggui, korean king moved its capital to Hanyang and changed it to Seoul.

Development history
1 and 1392, Li Chenggui, the great ancestor of Korea, established the Korean dynasty in Jing Kai and moved the capital to Hanyang in 1394. Since then, Hanyang has been the capital of South Korea.
2. Since 1948, it has been renamed as the exclusive Korean "capital", becoming the only city on the Korean peninsula without a Chinese name.
3. Seoul 1988 hosted the Olympic Games, and in 2002 co-hosted the World Cup with Tokyo. Seoul hosted the opening ceremony of the 2002 World Cup.
