Evaluation and degree awarding:

Applicants must pass the degree course examination, clinical ability assessment and thesis defense. Academic degree evaluation committee, the degree-granting unit, examines and approves the granting of professional degrees.

1. Degree course examination: The examination subjects include specialized foreign languages, specialized courses and basic theory courses, with a total number of no less than 4 subjects. The examination is organized by the degree-granting unit.

2. Clinical ability assessment and thesis defense: degree-conferring units are composed of assessment defense committees according to disciplines and majors, and the assessment defense committees are composed of 5 to 7 experts with the title of associate professor or deputy chief physician of clinical medicine, of which more than half are clinical medical experts with the title of professor or chief physician of clinical medicine (including 1-2 doctoral supervisors of clinical medicine and experts from other units).

Clinical ability assessment: mainly assess whether the applicant has high clinical operation skills and the ability to independently handle common diseases and some difficult diseases in this discipline.

Thesis defense: The defense committee will organize the thesis defense according to the procedures stipulated in the Academic Degrees Regulations.
