Is it free for the City University of Hong Kong to jointly train doctors?
City University of Hong Kong's joint doctoral training is not free of charge, mainly for the following reasons:

1. The joint doctoral program of City University of Hong Kong is jointly carried out by universities in Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. The project funds come from cooperative universities, students' self-financing and corporate sponsorship. Therefore, compared with the public doctoral program funded by the government or the school in whole or in part, the funding sources of the joint doctoral program are more diversified.

2. Because the joint doctoral training program of City University of Hong Kong is jointly carried out by several universities, there are differences in the commitment of tuition and living expenses among universities. Therefore, if the government or schools provide all or part of the subsidies, there will be uneven distribution of resources.

3. The students in the joint doctoral program of City University of Hong Kong come from different universities and professional backgrounds, and the training methods and contents of the program are relatively flexible. If the government or schools provide full or partial subsidies, they will face problems such as unified management and resource allocation.
