Anhui University is located in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province. It is the first batch of "world-class discipline construction universities" in China. The school began in April 1928 in Anqing, then the provincial capital. During the period of 1958, Anhui University was rebuilt on the basis of Hefei College and the former Physics Department of Anhui University. 3. Anhui Normal University
The school's predecessor was the provincial Anhui University 1928 founded in Anqing. 1946 was renamed as National Anhui University, and 1949 moved to Wuhu. After that, it went through several stages of running schools, such as Anhui Normal University, Hefei Normal University, Southern Anhui University and Anhui University of Workers and Peasants. 1972, approved by the State Council, was officially named Anhui Normal University. In 2005, Wuhu Normal University was merged into Anhui Normal University.
