Master's and doctoral training
The establishment of experimental classes for undergraduate students of Chinese studies is a useful attempt to train talents in Chinese universities, and it is also a powerful measure to train interdisciplinary talents. However, due to the characteristics of Chinese studies, students' study and research also have their own specific systematicness and continuity, so it is impossible to do it overnight during the undergraduate period. In order to further promote the research and teaching of Chinese studies and provide a professional platform for students interested in Chinese studies, at the end of 2007, Wuhan University set up its own master's degree and doctoral degree program in Chinese studies, which was reported to the the State Council Academic Degrees Committee for the record in 2008 and officially enrolled students in 2009. At present, there are: 1, the research direction of Confucian classics; 2. The research direction of sub-science; 3. The research direction of historical classics; 4. The research direction of Ji Bu; 5. Research direction of Buddhism and Taoism. The characteristics of the master's and doctor's programs of Chinese studies in Wuhan University are mainly manifested in two aspects:
First, interdisciplinary. In the setting of research direction and the allocation of teachers, we strive to break the original limitation of literature, history and philosophy. According to the characteristics of Chinese studies, five research directions have been preliminarily determined, spanning literature, history, philosophy, religion, art and martial arts, realizing the real cross-integration of various disciplines. In terms of teachers, the school has organized powerful experts to serve as masters and doctoral tutors of Chinese studies programs, and plans to further hire well-known experts at home and abroad to join doctoral programs for joint guidance. It is also planned to adopt an appropriate "going out" way for master students and doctoral students to strengthen inter-school and international student exchanges.
Second, emphasize the creative interpretation of the original classics. Classic original works are the source of our study on the vitality and creativity of Chinese studies. On the basis of emphasizing the training of primary schools and ancient documents, master students and doctoral students of Chinese studies plan to strengthen the methodological training of foreign languages, Chinese and foreign academic research and creative interpretation of China classics, attach importance to the discussion of overseas China studies, arouse students' awareness of problems, and cultivate students' creative interpretation and discussion ability.
