1925, President Zhang Boling proposed to organize an "off-campus alumni association" to contact graduates, and Nankai Alumni Association was formally established in 1929+00.
Members of Nankai Alumni Association include Nankai University, Tianjin Nankai Middle School, Tianjin No.2 Nankai Middle School, Chongqing Nankai Middle School, Zigong Shuguang Middle School, Binhai College of Nankai University, Tianjin Nankai Yu Xiang School, Tianjin Nanxing Middle School and Chongqing Nankai (Qiao Rong) Middle School. The secretariat of Nankai Alumni Association is located in Nankai University.
2016 10/6, Nankai University alumni Zhou Haibing and Hou Ying donated10 billion yuan to their alma mater, which is the largest single alumni donation received since the establishment of Nankai University.

20 19 10 year 10 month, Nankai university celebrated its100th anniversary. On the occasion of the centennial celebration, the school initiated the establishment of the honorary title of "Outstanding Alumni of Nankai University" in recognition of outstanding alumni who have made great contributions to human development and social progress in various fields and industries, to the country and the nation, and to the development of Nankai University.
On June 14, the first batch of 20 alumni from 8 departments including history, philosophy, economy, chemistry, mathematics, physics and biology won this honorary title. They have devoted themselves to scientific research and personnel training for many years, with an average age of 79. They are all recognized as top outstanding scholars in academic circles.
The 20 "outstanding alumni" (in descending order of age) are Liu Guoguang, Liu Xinyuan, Cai Meibiao, Wang Zikun, Zhuo, Kuang, Yao Shouzhuo, Yan Deyue, Jiang Boju, Fang Keli, Wang, Yang, Fang, Chang, Zhang Yukui, Sun Changpu, Peng Xiaojun and Fang Fuquan.
