The Institute of International Education was founded in 200 1. Jiangxi Normal University is a newly established foreign-related college to adapt to the new situation, further expand the scale, broaden the scope and improve the level of running a school, learn from the experience of foreign universities and strengthen exchanges and cooperation with foreign universities. Its main tasks are to recruit students at home, recruit and train students abroad, and contact and implement Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools and schools abroad.

At present, the college has two majors: English (international economic law) (international business), (international communication), (international accounting), (cross-cultural communication), (international finance), (international business administration), (foreign tourism) and Japanese (international business), which recruit international undergraduates, while Chinese language majors recruit domestic students.

The college has 90 faculty members, including 70 full-time teachers. Another 15 foreign experts were employed. The college has more than 3,000 undergraduates and nearly 200 domestic long-term and short-term international students.

Since its establishment, the Institute of International Education has actively carried out foreign cooperation in running schools. Signed cooperation with Australian University of Canberra, Charleston University, Central Queensland University, Daegu Catulli University, Korea University, Beicai University, Yosemite University, Okayama University, Kagawa University, Qibu University of Economics, University of Teesside, university of salford, Canadian erudite College, Prince Songkhla University in Thailand, Vallerongong University, Lutheran College in the United States, Beijing Institute of Language and Culture in Indonesia, and University of Antananarivo in Madagascar.

The college is based on language teaching, focusing on specialized courses, taking Sino-foreign cooperation as the background, taking social needs as the guidance, taking recruiting Chinese and foreign students and cultivating compound, innovative and international business foreign language talents as the guiding ideology. Based on the school-running philosophy of "recruiting a student, making a friend and producing a talent", the college devotes itself to cultivating internal strength, goes all out, pays attention to discipline construction and teaching staff construction, faces the world and looks to the future.
