Southeast University, whose name ranges from 192 1 to 1927, is a national university founded on the basis of Nanjing Normal University. Since then, New Southeast University has taken the history of Nanjing Normal University as its own.

In order to extend the history, Southeast University mercilessly abandoned the original "predecessor" Jiangnan Higher Industrial School and replaced it with Sanjiang Normal School. In today's official website of Southeast University, you can't find the trace of Jiangnan Higher Industrial School, although it has been officially certified as the "predecessor" for more than 30 years.

In fact, even those famous "century-old schools" can't stand scrutiny. Looking at the renaming history of Nanjing University, we can find that Liangjiang Normal University (1906-191) and Nanjing Normal University (1914-192/kloc-0)

After Wuchang Uprising, Liangjiang Normal School was closed due to the war, and the original school building was also used as a military warehouse. Until 19 14, Jiangsu Province decided to borrow the original site to establish Nanjing Normal School. The only relationship between the newly established school and the former Liangjiang Normal School is the school building.

It can be said that the school building has become a necessary killer for a school to continue its history. This makes Hunan University, founded by 1926, have already won the name of "Millennium University" by virtue of the geographical location of Yuelu Academy.
