What are the factors that affect the development and promotion of slow softball in colleges and universities in China?
Slow softball is a new leisure sport developed from baseball and softball in the late 20th century. Inherited the characteristics of unity, cooperation and brave command of baseball and softball, and highlighted the gameplay of baseball and softball; At the same time, it simplifies the complicated rules, reduces the difficulty of hitting the ball, and forms a characteristic sport with distinctive characteristics such as simple and easy to learn, moderate exercise, and men, women and children competing in the same field; As soon as it was introduced, slow softball was widely welcomed by the public and developed rapidly around the world, becoming a brand-new national fitness sport.

First of all, students don't know the rules. They are afraid of this sport.

Softball has profound cultural background and unique charm, and has more comprehensive technology, so it has great sports value. But for the vast majority of college students now, they have hardly touched slow softball. Most students don't know much about the rules of the game. Although I really want to take part in this sport, I am discouraged for fear of being easily injured, which greatly dispels students' enthusiasm for learning.

Second, the sports leaders in charge of colleges and universities pay insufficient attention to it.

Slow softball, like other sports, needs investment, and it is difficult to develop without the attention and support of the school. Although softball has been introduced to China for more than 65,438+000 years, it has not been popularized in China. Coupled with the lack of TV media reports, the leaders in charge of college sports pay insufficient attention to softball, which leads to different project priorities and brings certain difficulties to the promotion of slow softball in colleges and universities.

Third, the venue equipment is limited and the funds are insufficient.

Softball venues and equipment have certain requirements. There are hundreds of pairs of softball gloves and thousands of metal bats in the slow softball equipment. It is precisely because of this high price that many schools that want to carry out this project are discouraged by the lack of funds.

Fourth, regional development is uneven.

At present, there are more than 100 colleges and universities in China to carry out baseball and softball, but they are mainly distributed in economically developed cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Guangzhou. For universities in southwest, northwest and central China, the project of slow softball is not offered in absolute parts of universities. Although the National College Softball League is held once a year, and the teams must be the top three in each division. However, among the actual participating teams, except for Beijing Division (North China Division) which decided the top three because of the large number of participating teams, the other five major divisions can directly participate in the national finals because of the small number of participating teams (there is no team in Southwest Division) (see attached table).
