Northeast Agricultural University, located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, is the first batch of "2 1 1 project" key construction universities in China, featuring agricultural science, life science and food science, and the coordinated development of agriculture, engineering, science, economics and management. It is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province, the people of China and the Ministry of Agriculture. It is one of the first batch of pilot universities for the reform of the "Basic Capacity Building Project for Central and Western Universities" and the "Excellent Agricultural and Forestry Talents Education and Training Plan". It is an excellent university evaluated by the Ministry of Education for its undergraduate teaching level, and it has been selected as one of the 40 key universities in the "Subject Construction Plan for Aid to Xinjiang" of the Ministry of Education.
1948 was founded in Harbin. The school was originally named Northeast Agricultural College, and successively belonged to the Ministry of Agriculture of Northeast Administrative Committee, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Agricultural Committee of Heilongjiang Province and the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province. 198 1 was identified as a provincial key institution in Heilongjiang province, 1994 merged with Heilongjiang Agricultural Management Cadre College to form Northeast Agricultural University.
As of August 20 16, the school covers an area of 4.964 million square meters, with a total construction area of1174,000 square meters and a total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment of 480 million yuan.
