In order to celebrate the100th anniversary of the founding of China * * * Production Party, encourage college students to carry forward the red tradition, inherit the red genes, and summon up their spirits to March into a new journey and forge ahead into a new era, the summer social practice team of the School of Water Conservancy of North China University of Water Resources and Hydropower held a reading activity with the theme of "reading red books and inheriting red genes" on July10/day.

The century-old party history contains the experience and wisdom of governing the country, which is a valuable asset for senior officials to educate people and an inspiring force. At the sharing meeting, the practitioners shared their reading insights through reading essays, introducing books on the spot, telling the story of party history in person, revisiting red history, inheriting red genes, and building spiritual pillars.

The team members enthusiastically shared their feelings of reading the classics of party history, and thought that history is the best textbook, which contains endless ideological strength, cultural genes and spiritual kinetic energy. They should read more red classics, study red stories deeply, pass them on from generation to generation, and be new people of the times.

"Through this activity of reading the little red book, I feel that as young people in peacetime, we should never forget those hard years. We must always remember those revolutionary martyrs who gave their lives for the cause of national liberation, and at the same time, we must continue to carry forward and inherit the red spirit and contribute our meager strength to the prosperity of the motherland. " Xiao Zhongxing, a 20-level water conservancy college, said.

One red story is a thick history. Red stories such as Red Rock, Selected Works of Mao Zedong, Salute to Heroes, and Lei Feng's Story deeply shocked the hearts of practitioners. This practice has injected the essence of red classic culture into the minds of practitioners, sowed red seeds, inherited the red spirit, and inspired practitioners to strive for the first place and forge ahead bravely.
