Hefei University of Defense Technology is a book. The University of National Defense Technology was formerly known as the Military Engineering College of China People's Liberation Army. 1953 was established in Harbin, the famous "Harbin Military Industry", with General Chen Geng as the first president and political commissar. Harbin Military Industry, founded during the Korean War, is the first higher military engineering college in New China. Its outstanding achievements in running schools have set up a monument in the history of national defense science and technology and higher education in China.

1970 The main body of the college moved to Changsha and was renamed Changsha Institute of Technology. 1978, converted into National University of Defense Technology of PLA. From 65438 to 0999, Changsha Artillery College, Changsha Institute of Engineering and Changsha Institute of Political Science were merged into National University of Defense Technology. The construction and development of schools have always been highly valued by the state and the army. It is one of the key construction projects in the First Five-Year Plan 156, one of the 20 key universities in China identified by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China 1959, the first batch of institutions in the State Council approved to award master's and doctoral degrees, and the first batch of institutions in China that pilot graduate schools. It is the first batch of universities to enter the national "2 1 1 Project" construction plan, the key construction institution of the military "2 1 10 Project", the "double" construction institution, the only institution in the national "985 Project" construction ranks, and the only national "double-class" construction institution.
