The new campus of Hunan University of Technology is located in Taishan Road, Tianyuan District, Zhuzhou City, bordering the West Ring Road in the west, the famous Cheng Shennong Park and Yan Di Square in the east, and directly reaching Zhuzhou West Station (Zhuzhou Station of Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Railway), with convenient transportation and beautiful environment. Upon completion, a campus chain of Hunan University of Technology will be formed with Hexi New Campus as the main campus, Hedong Campus (the original campus of Institute of Technology) as the sub-campus, and Zhuzhou Expressway as the link. Take the first-class universities in China as an example, build a modern university building with rich cultural connotations that embodies discipline and professional characteristics, and build a new ecological park campus that embodies the style of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

The new campus is roughly divided into six functional areas:

1. A window for dialogue between campus and society. The main entrance area is centered on the entrance square, with administrative office building and packaging museum, and the main entrance area on the west side is decorated with academic hall.

2. Teaching area: including the landmark high-rise library, school history museum and other public teaching buildings arranged around the central square, and the teaching buildings arranged according to the mountain situation. The college area is organized into three groups through the axis, and a series of outdoor squares are progressive, providing students with multi-level communication space for academic discussions and professional exchanges.

3.* * * Enjoy the ecological zone: located between the teaching area and the living area, it connects the original water system with the mountains in the base into a whole, forming a living water surface and ecological corridor, which is an important place for campus landscape theme and student activities.

4. Student living quarters: The living quarters are divided into five groups, which are distributed in the north, northeast, southwest, southeast and east directions of the campus, and each group is equipped with corresponding student canteens, living facilities and sports facilities.

5. Sports area: The main sports activities are divided into two groups, which are distributed in sports centers in the east, including stadiums, gymnasiums and student activity centers, as well as swimming pools and gymnasiums in the north. A large number of small sports facilities are arranged in the student living quarters to provide sufficient sports venues for students' daily fitness.

6. Staff living area: located in the west of the base, relatively independent, which is conducive to socialized construction and management.

7. Industrial Park: Located on the southwest side of the land, with convenient external contact.

8. Expert working and living area: the development land located on the northwest side of the land.
