In 2007, the school library expanded its information service function and established new document delivery service agreements with many domestic libraries. For readers inside and outside the school, it provides original document copying and original document delivery services to foreign university libraries or document institutions, such as PQDD in OCLC, Ohio, and Uncover Center of Carl Company. The library has also carried out various forms of reader service activities and thematic activities, strengthened communication and interaction with the library to serve the masses, further improved the service level, and reached more than 90% reader satisfaction.
Since the mid-1980s, the library's lending service department has implemented full-shelf service, and in the early 1990s, a service department integrating book lending and collection has been established, which can be read in the lending department or borrowed in the reading room for a short time. This service mode was rare in the province and even the whole country at that time. The library has nine departments, including Chinese book lending room, Chinese newspaper reading room, Chinese new book reading room, the first comprehensive reading room (former teachers and graduate students reading room), foreign book lending room, Chinese reference book reading room, Chinese back issue reading room and foreign periodical reading room. All books and periodicals are displayed on open shelves, with more than 1400 reading seats and receiving 500,000 readers annually. The first four service departments mentioned above are open 14 hours a day (weekend 13.5 hours) and open for 97 hours a week, making them one of the longest university libraries in China. In addition, the library's network and CD-ROM retrieval laboratory also provides readers with 97 hours of electronic literature reading service every week.
