According to Netease official website, the western Shaolin Temple was built on the Shuangfeng Temple with the joint investment of Chongqing jiangjin district and Fujian businessmen. The whole architectural style combines the characteristics of Minnan architecture and Southwest architecture. The red brick glazed tiles in southern Fujian and the blue brick and black tiles in the southwest are in harmony, and there are hundreds of magnificent ancient buildings and houses in the whole temple. West Shaolin Temple is located near Simian Mountain in jiangjin district, not far from Zhongshan Ancient Town. According to the regulations of South Shaolin Temple in Quanzhou, it was rebuilt and expanded by using the original Shuangfeng Temple.
