Suzhou University is located in Suzhou, a famous historical and cultural city known as "paradise on earth". It is the first batch of universities listed in the national "2 1 1 project" and "201/plan". It is a "double first-class" university built by the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province.

Soochow University, formerly known as Soochow University (Soochow University, founded in 1900), is the first university in China to establish a modern university discipline system.
