Standard ballroom dancing originated from ancient folk dance, and experienced the evolution of duet, circle dance, progressive dance and group dance, and became a widely circulated ballroom dance.

Style characteristic

The competition is divided into two types: team competition and individual competition, which are conducted according to the procedures of preliminary competition (elimination competition), semi-final competition (qualification competition) and final competition (ranking competition). The team competition consists of 8 pairs of male and female athletes from each participating unit, and the competition is conducted in order.
